Research Interests
Dr. Tariq focuses on rigorous scientific training of the mentees, most pertinent aspect of which being the fostering of a culture of independent thought and intrigue in the lab. This training prepared me to meet the demanding requirements of doctoral training at Dartmouth. The alumni of Epigenetics lab have built
quite a reputation for themselves in institutes of higher education throughout the world. This network not only gives students an advantage when applying to graduate schools but also wherever one ends up studying, the strong sense of community among lab alumni remains invaluable.
